Safe dating: how to look after yourself
A calm guide to how EliteDulce looks after you — and how to take safe steps yourself when you message, meet and get to know someone.

Safety isn't the opposite of romance — it's what makes room for it. Here's a short guide to what EliteDulce does to look after you — and how you can take calm, sensible steps yourself when you message, meet and get to know each other.
Real people behind the profiles
Safety begins with who you meet in the first place. When you sign in to EliteDulce with your phone number, you get a code by text message, and the number is never shown on your profile. Profiles can also be photo-verified: a blue check shows that the photos belong to the person, so you can see straight away that there's a real person behind the pictures.
Look for the check. If you're unsure about a profile, ask for a short video call before you meet.
Remember what the check means. It confirms that the photos belong to the person — not the person's name or intentions. Stay curious and stay calm.
Your privacy is yours alone
You decide what you share and who you see. You choose gender, age, distance and segment yourself, and the filters work both ways: you're only shown to people whose filter also includes you. We never ask about your income, and if you want out completely, you can delete your account right away or with a 90-day grace period — and download a copy of your data first.
Never share your text message code with anyone. If another member asks for it, it's a scam.
You're always in control when you message
A good conversation is allowed to take its time. You set the pace, and you decide what you share. Your Turn shows whose move it is, and you can pause a conversation without ending it. As long as you talk together inside EliteDulce, you can block and report straight from the conversation — without having shared your phone number.
Stay in the app chat for as long as you can. One of the clearest warning signs is someone who quickly wants to move the conversation to WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS after a few messages — often to avoid being blocked and reported. Inside EliteDulce you can always block and report. You can't, if the conversation has moved out.
Use video calls as a safety check. A short live call is the simplest way to sense whether a profile is genuine, before you invest feelings or time. Someone who consistently avoids video, always has an excuse, or whose camera "never works", deserves your healthy scepticism.
Share less, not more, at the start. Your full name, address, workplace and bank details don't belong in the first conversations.
If a conversation feels wrong, you're never obliged to reply. If you just want to end it, use Unmatch — the conversation closes for both of you, without a block.
A little preparation brings a lot of calm when you meet
The app helps you online — but it doesn't come along to the meeting itself. That's why a few human habits make all the difference.
Always meet for the first time in a public place with lots of people — a café, a hotel lobby, a restaurant. Never go home with, or invite home, a stranger on a first meeting, and don't let anyone pick you up from your home.
Tell a friend where you're going, with whom, and when you'll be back. Consider sharing your live location with a trusted contact, and make sure you can get home on your own.
Agree on time and place in advance. Clear expectations for the meeting are reassuring for both of you.
Use Date check. In the app you can share your date with a friend you trust and get a check-in at the time you choose. And in an emergency, always call 112.
Money is the most important red flag
Genuine interest is about you as a person — never about your money. EliteDulce is about personal connections, never payment for company: our house rules prohibit payment or gifts for company, and profiles that are about it are removed. That's why any talk of money, payment or fees between members is a red flag in itself and should be reported. And one thing has to be said quite calmly and clearly.
Never send money, gift cards, crypto or bank details to anyone you've only met online — no matter how verified, impressive or convincing they seem.
"Send a small amount to prove you're real" is a classic scam. The same goes for fees, a "deposit" or an urgent emergency that suddenly requires you to pay. Other variants exist — customs on a "gift", a transfer you're asked to pass part of on — but they all rest on the same plea for money first.
A member who asks you for money — or offers you money — isn't genuine, and is breaking the rules. Offers of payments in return for you first paying a fee or sharing bank access are always a con. You never owe them a reply: block and report.
Never click payment or verification links another member sends you. Money should never change hands between members — so any payment link, account number or “fee” you're sent is a scam, full stop.
Be gentle with yourself when it comes to love bombing. Excessive feelings and grand future plans very early on are a known method for clouding your critical sense before money or photos are asked for. Let it take time.
If you encounter any of this, you don't have to discuss or explain yourself. Open the profile or the conversation, tap the shield and choose Report. Choose a reason, and feel free to attach messages or photos as evidence. A report is confidential — the person never finds out who reported them — and the person is blocked for you at the same time, unless you choose otherwise. Our team reviews the report, and serious cases are handled first. A block works both ways, closes the match and the conversation, and cannot be undone. It protects not only you, but also those who come after.
Most of this you'll never need to use. Most dates are simply good experiences, and you always have Block and Report right at hand. What's left is the very best safety rule, the one no feature can replace: trust your gut. If something feels wrong, pressured or too good to be true, then stop, block and report — without a shadow of doubt and without a guilty conscience. Once those habits are second nature, you can relax and let what matters most take up the space: meeting a person who feels exactly right. And that's where the beautiful part begins.
