Ambitious or Established: what does my segment mean?

Your segment says where you are in your working life. It is about career stage and drive, never about what you earn or own.

The two segments

• Ambitious: you are building something, such as an education, a career or your own company.

• Established: you have built something and still have ambitions.

How the segment filter works

Under Filters you choose whether to see Ambitious, Established or Both. The default is Both, and the segment filter is free for everyone.

The filter works both ways: you are only shown to people whose filter also includes your segment. This also applies in Explore and Top Picks.

Changing your segment

You choose your segment yourself and can change it under Profile > Edit profile > Segment. You can change it a limited number of times per day, and the app shows how many changes you have left today.

Your segment appears next to your field as a small label on your card. We never ask about income, and profiles that are about payment for company are removed.
