Why was my profile photo rejected?

Every photo is checked before others can see it. If we are unsure, one of us looks at it, and it shows Under review in the meantime. If the photo is rejected, the reason appears under it in Edit profile.

The most common reasons

• Your first photo doesn't clearly show your face.

• The photo doesn't appear to be of you.

• The photo is too unclear.

• The photo contains contact details, such as a phone number or a username.

• The photo shows nudity, violence or weapons, or breaks our house rules about payment or gifts for company.

What to do

1. Delete the rejected photo in Edit profile.

2. Add a new, sharp photo of yourself, ideally with your face clearly visible as the first one.
