Tips before a first date with someone from a dating app
Chat in the app until you feel ready, meet somewhere public, tell a friend where you are, and never send money to someone you met here.

Most dates are simply good experiences. A few easy habits make them safer, and you always set the pace.
Before you meet
Chat in the app until you feel ready. There is no rush.
Look for the Photo verified badge, and suggest a video call if you are unsure.
Do not share your address, workplace or bank details early on.
On the date
Meet somewhere public and arrange your own way home.
Tell a friend where you are. In the app you can use Share my date and Date check-in from the shield in the conversation.
Keep an eye on your drink and leave if something feels wrong. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.
Afterwards
You never owe anyone another date. Use Unmatch or Block if you do not want more contact.
Never send money or gifts to someone you met here, and report behaviour that broke our rules, even if it happened outside the app.
